It is now 1.45 a.m. September 5th, 2021.
It has been, it has been almost two months since I left Hong Kong.
Since I made that jump to Shanghai.
Two weeks of quarantine, 14 days.
I got myself into this hotel, IBIS, this hotel.
6,600 RMB per month, 30 days.
I'm recording this on a MacBook Pro that I've always wanted to get for a long time and never was able to, but I finally got it.
And, you know, I'm here, I'm actually here.
I'm here in the hotel, in Shanghai
In the span of a month. I've met, I've met some of the biggest rappers in China.
I've had dinner with them. I know them on a personal basis.
I've had one-on-one meetings with some very influential people in Shanghai.
I've met Gali, I've met Benzo.
Not only that, but about a year ago, I was first put in touch with HARIKIRI.
He's one of my favourite producers, someone I always looked up to.
Someone I've always wanted to make music with.
Someone I wanted to meet, someone I wanted to contribute to, to be associated with.
I remember feeling so anxious, like wondering if I'd ever meet him.
If I'd ever get to Shanghai. If I'd ever have these things that I've always wanted to have.
It's crazy to even say that I met HARIKIRI and I had dinner with him.
Same restaurant that I used to go to with my mother when I was young.

I used to want to go there all the time.
When I was in Hong Kong, I used to just fantasise about being back there again.
I met HARIKIRI for four hours and we talked about...
I didn't even expect this at all, but he talked about wanting to sign me to his new label, IRIS.
I never thought that would happen.
I'm excited to see how things unfold in the next couple months.
What's crazy is that today, yesterday, my song “Grey Clouds” was placed on Beats and Rhymes (Spotify).
The same playlist that I watched other Hong Kong artists like Dough-Boy, Young Hysan.
I used to watch them get on that playlist and I'd wonder when it's ever going to be my turn.
All I did was just follow my gut.
All I did was just exactly what that book said, “Think and Grow Rich”.
All I ever did was send out my desire.
I forgot about it, I just kept working towards it.
I woke up and I was on Beats and Rhymes, just like that.
Just like that.
Never had to... You know, just like that.
I didn't stress about it, I didn't ask for it. It just happened.
Not only that, same day I also got on the cover of a Spotify editorial playlist.
I remember when I used to release songs and they wouldn't get on any Spotify editorial playlists.
I released song after song after song.
No playlists, but I kept going.
Because I knew that one day
I knew that one day I'd hit the f***ing jackpot and they will recognise my greatness.
They will realise that I can make music in a way nobody can.
And it's crazy because after all these years, all this time, 20 months, almost 2 years I've been doing this since nothing.
2 years. 24 months.
I changed my life completely.
Just the way I intended it to. Just the way I wanted it to.
I've surpassed so many people back in Hong Kong, they don't even realise it.
Because what they don't realise is that I don't do this to... Particularly for fame or recognition.
I do this to prove that manifestation, the law of attraction is real.
To prove it to myself.
And every single time I prove it to myself, the more and more I believe in God's plan, laws of the universe, the more I believe that this is true.
“Think and Grow Rich”, that book, the stuff in that book has been there for centuries and it's still relevant.
People back then knew something that we don't know now.
I used to be nervous, intimidated about my place, my future in China.
Whether I'd actually be somebody in hip-hop.
The more time I spend here, the more I realise, not only am I going to have a place here, I might actually be the greatest ever.
Or most successful ever in Chinese hip-hop.
Maybe not now, maybe not in a year, maybe not in two years, maybe not in three.
But eventually, eventually, I'm going to be one of the biggest Chinese rappers in the world, if not the biggest.
I'm going to shift the landscape of Chinese hip-hop.
I'm going to have legendary albums, projects.
It might not be easy, and I might have unexpected obstacles
But I have the determination and I have the persistence to overcome anything thrown my way and the faith, the support of God.
I'm 21 now. I'm going to make a fortune.
I'm going to have an incredible legacy.
It's just like how I have things now that doesn't even seem real, but I used to want it so badly.
Things don't always happen exactly the way you want it to, but they always happen the way you ask for it.
What you ask for always comes.
Just not in the way you think it will.
I think that's the secret, you know?
We'll see where I am in a couple months.
