Set out my pots to start anew
To say it's easy would be untrue

Pushed the cane poles into the soil
Around them the bean stalks coil

Planted my bean seeds one by one
Watered and covered in the sun

Anxiously awaiting my green beans to sprout
Watered them daily thru the drought

Waiting waiting waiting to see
Just sprout me one two or three

Nothings growing I wonder why
Something has really gone awry

Set up a camera to take a look
Would find out by hook or crook

Sure enough the squirrels win again
Ate all my seeds by digging to them
