This is the same train and this is the station where you would be waiting, you'd wave from the platform. This is the same road that we took forever, the distance seems shorter, the trees have grown taller, the houses seem smaller, I feel like a stranger in my hometown. Here is the old house, I don't think you'd like it, they tore out the front porch, it's all painted over. Driving down 4th Street they closed down the drugstore and put in a big chain and all of the faces look so unfamiliar, I feel like a stranger in my hometown. It's been a while, I'm sad to say now it looks the same as anybody's hometown, anybody's hometown. The trees have grown taller, the houses seem smaller, I wish I belonged here in my hometown.
