The Things were all gone when we came along,
Moseyin' through the mountains of madness.
On the plateau we did land our airplane,
Then explored that horrifying town.
I said: are you frightened? He went: insane
Once we found a tunnel leading down.
Elder Things, no more mystery.
Petroglyphs told their history.
Their servitor race constructed the place;
Monsters made their mountains of madness.
In a hallway we did find a shoggoth;
A shapeless blob of putrid green and brown.
So we ran like hell from mister shoggoth
Before his tentacles could pull us down.
Fled the pit in a hurry,
Wracked with fear, grief and worry,
So happy to flee this insanity.
Monsters at the mountains of madness!
